What brings you in

People begin therapy for a variety of reasons. Some of the most common areas of focus for my clients are:

  • chronic + acute anxiety

  • self esteem + shame

  • family conflict

  • relationship distress

  • prolonged singleness

  • challenging life transitions

  • faith + spirituality

How I work

My title “Marriage and Family Therapist” means I am trained to understand and treat individuals in the context of their relationships, both past and present. I use the Restoration Therapy Model, which brings together Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, and Self-Regulation to support lasting change. These elements also guide the way I help you heal and grow in your relationship with yourself and others:

Our connection: Research shows that the most powerful tool in therapy is the relationship you build with your therapist. Our alliance matters, and I will be attentive to it throughout our work. I also believe that how you show up in therapy often reflects how you show up in the rest of your life. Your experience of me and our interaction together becomes a meaningful foundation for change.

Insight: We can’t change what we can’t name. Many people function out of unacknowledged pain or stress.  Another important piece of our work together is uncovering what’s been hidden, so that you can heal and be set free from old patterns.

Skills: Our connection and new insight get us far, but not all the way. Within our process together, I will offer you tools to help you incorporate positive changes into your daily life.
